    Support school staff in understanding and implementing the revised 2013 Guidelines to promote comprehensive school health.

    Focus on the basics of physical movement through fun and easy to implement activities for the classroom and alternate/outdoor spaces that emphasize fundamental skills like throwing, catching and jumping.

  • 5-2-1-0: Steps to Healthy Living

    Shares health messaging of 5 or more vegetables and fruit, 2 hours or less of recreational screen time, 1 hour or more of physical activity and 0 sugary drinks to support healthy habits every day.


    Provides a model to bring healthy eating alive in the classroom and school through curriculum-based lessons and activities.

Book an Action Schools! BC Regional Trainer for a day to mentor teachers on: classroom DPA or Healthy Eating activities, physical activity/education in the gymnasium or alternate/outdoor spaces, food and beverage guidelines support, action planning, organizing equipment and resources, etc.

Teachers Teaching On Call

Teachers Teaching on Call (TTOCs) and student teachers are welcome to attend workshops. Participants are eligible to receive complimentary teaching resources to support them in integrating daily physical activity and healthy eating into their classrooms and schools.
